Why Rodents Keep Coming back
Most repeat problems come down to three things:
1) The entry point is still open: Catching one mouse doesn’t matter if the gap they’re using is still there. Rodents can fit through surprisingly small openings around foundations, doors, garages, and utility lines.
2) The conditions are still attractive: Food access, cluttered storage, and moisture/harborage give rodents a reason to stay—especially in basements, garages, and crawlspaces.
3) The activity isn’t fully addressed: If removal only knocks down what you see, remaining activity can rebuild—particularly in attached homes and connected structures.
How Rodents Enter Your Home or Business
Mice and rats are opportunists. See the specific structural defects we look for during a rodent exclusion inspection.
The Low Ground: Foundation Vents
Rodents are excellent climbers. They scale brick and siding to reach unsealed gable vents, roof returns, and soffit intersections, gaining direct access to your attic insulation.
Technician's Insight: "Standard insect screen isn't enough—rats and mice can chew right through it. We install heavy-gauge steel mesh (exclusion barriers) that allows airflow but stops rodents from entering."

The Front Door: Worn Sweeps
Garage door corners and side entry sweeps are notorious entry points. If the rubber is brittle or gnawed, a mouse can flatten its body and slide right under the door into your home.
Technician's Insight: "If you can see light under a door, mice or rats can enter. We stop this by installing commercial-grade door sweeps and reinforcing corners with stainless steel mesh that rodents can’t chew through or remove."

The Bypass: Utility Penetrations
Builders drill holes for AC lines, gas pipes, and cable wires but often leave gaps. These gaps act as a "superhighway" allowing rodents and other pests to travel from the exterior directly into your wall voids.
Technician's Insight: "A mouse only needs a hole the size of a dime and a rat the size of a quarter. We pack these gaps with professional grade materials so they can't chew through."

Our Inspection, Treatment, and Exclusion Process
Once entry points and activity are identified, we focus on correcting the problem at its source and helping protect your home from future pest activity.
Step 1
Inspection
We inspect the interior and exterior to identify pest activity, structural gaps, and entry points pests use to access the home.
Step 2
Treatment and Exclusion
Targeted treatment addresses active pest activity, and accessible gaps are sealed to help prevent re-entry.
Step 3
Protection and Prevention
We confirm activity is resolved and help ensure your home remains protected moving forward.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Safety is our priority. We use tamper-resistant bait stations that are locked and secured, preventing pets or children from accessing the materials inside. We also offer non-toxic mechanical trapping options for sensitive environments.
Scratching in walls/ceilings (especially at night), a live rodent, droppings, gnaw marks, rub marks along walls, nesting material, and strong odors in enclosed areas.
If you can, note where you noticed activity (kitchen, basement, garage, attic). Avoid moving items around those areas right before we arrive so we can assess accurately.
In most cases, you’ll see improvement quickly once we start—timing depends on the level of activity, where they’re nesting, and whether the structure is connected to others. After inspection, we’ll explain what to expect and the timeline based on what we find.
Rodent issues can persist if there are multiple entry points, heavy pressure from outside, or activity coming from a connected unit/building. If activity continues after the initial service, we’ll come back, reassess the source/entry points, and adjust the plan. If it’s covered under your service/guarantee, follow-up visits are included at no extra cost.
For most inspections, it helps if an adult is present at the start so we can confirm what you’ve noticed and walk through key areas. You typically don’t need to leave. We’ll let you know ahead of time if access to specific spaces is needed (basement, attic, utility rooms, etc.) or if any precautions are recommended.
For commercial sites, we can coordinate access with a manager or point of contact and work around operating hours when possible.
