EM Pest Control started from a background in home inspections. In 2006, Eric Middleton was operating Closer Look Property Inspections when he came across active termites in a home in Uniondale, NY. At the time, he was not licensed to perform pest control work, but he wanted to be able to help in situations like that. That led him to pursue licensing and training in pest control.
After gaining experience in the field, Eric and his brother Eddie started EM Pest Control in 2014. The company was built to handle pest problems properly, based on what is actually happening at the property rather than relying on routine treatments. Working across Nassau County and Western Suffolk, they saw how common issues like moisture, structural gaps, and seasonal changes play a role in pest activity.
As the business grew, the same approach carried into every service. Each job is based on understanding the conditions that allow pests to be there and addressing those conditions along with the activity itself. This has allowed the company to provide consistent service for both residential and commercial properties throughout Long Island.
EM Pest Control is a family-run business. Eric’s wife Desirée and their sons Devin and Justin are also part of the company. Today, the company continues to operate throughout Nassau County, and Western Suffolk County, providing pest control for homes and businesses in the areas it serves.
